Is the association planning to submit for the Fishers Neighborhood matching grant to improve our monument / subdivision entrance?

Due date: 11March2011

LINK: www.fishers.in.us/egov/docs/1297352417517.htm

Thank you.

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity! There doesn't appear to be a way to contact anyone on the board though and communicate this. Does anyone check this regularly?

Personally, I would love to get going on this project, but it is a matter of $$ and neighborhood input. We need a committe of property owners to come up with designs and ideas to present to the Board. It is too late for 2011, but we can certainly try for the grant in 2012 if we get a few people from the neighborhood to work on it. If interested, you can contact me, Carole Mathews as the VP of our Board either through this email or through KMC.

The Board can always be contacted through KMC. Additionally, you should know that the Board of Directors are David Hooper, Carole Mathews, Hannah Reid and a new member who will be installed at our next Board meeting.

I am definitely interested in the monument project (for next March). If there are any planning meetings, I would be available to attend and offer some help.

On another note, I was not able to attend the annual meeting and am very interested in the mailbox replacement plans for the neighborhood. Our post is ok but the mailbox definitely needs replaced. Any planning info or contact info available?

Thank you!

We have run into a huge snag with the redesign of the monument. You may have noticed the surveyors sticks with pink ribbons on them at the front entrance. This survey was done by Duke Energy and marks their right of easement. One of the stakes runs right beside the monument on the right side and the easement also effects the spruce trees to the right of the monument and right of the walk way. Duke will move all of those trees for us (except for the really tall one in front) to another place in the front common area. This is the first time Duke has shown up to claim their easement since before the subdivision was built. This greatly limits what can be done as far as the front entrance redesign. If you are intersted in being a member of the Landscape Committee, please contact me (Carole Mathews) at: crlmathews1@yahoo.com.
